Sons & Daughters Winery

Formed from remnants of the last ice age, Fonthill’s Sons & Daughters vineyards sit 700 feet above Lake Ontario—today known as the Kame Delta. Situated on the highest point in Niagara, Sons & Daughters is a family-run winery that produces wines as unique as its provenance.

Designed an abstract leaf as the logo to emulate the branching out of their family story. Gold foil stamped + embossed leaf to elevate the touchpoint. Creative direction included commissioning artist Sophie Yeh-Chau to paint abstract landscapes echoing the vineyards in acrylic, watercolour and gold accents (printed on a metallic adhesive), for each label variety:

• Baco Noir
• Cabernet Franc
• Cabernet Sauvignon
• Riesling x Sparkling Riesling
• Kame Rosé
• Vidal

Limited Edition: Delta White

Did you know—soil composition can impact the depth and flavour of a grape harvest?
Inspired by an elevation diagram (documented in an Ontario Geological Survey ©1980), Kame Delta wanted to capture its essence in a limited edition bottle.

Keeping the brand gold leaf to retain connection to the Sons & Daughter’s collection, concepts range from a technical illustration (on white), to building photographic layers (greyscale), to minimal/abstract typography on a sleek black label.
