History and Pluralism at 330 Sussex – Panel Discussion
As Canadians everywhere are reckoning with the atrocities this nation has committed against First Nations, Inuit and Métis people, the Global Centre for Pluralism has chosen to dig where they stand. The Centre commissioned historical research, from an Indigenous perspective, on the river and lands surrounding their 1906 Ottawa headquarters.
In partnership with the report’s authors from Archipel Research, an Indigenous-owned and women-led firm, GCP held a public forum to discuss the report’s key findings and the difficult issues it raises. Our hope is to join in a dialogue with the Ottawa community about how to move towards a more inclusive and pluralist future, starting from the address on Sussex Drive.
